Jasmine Golestaneh, lead singer of the band Tempers, makes beautiful collages influenced by metaphysics and mysticism which have graced the covers of numerous music albums. In describing her artistic process, she relates, “I sit on the floor in a pile of books, [and with the] music playing, I rip out images, cut them up and arrange them until I feel an alchemy bring them together…it’s very peaceful and meditative.” Jasmine is currently working on a series of tarot collages.
You can see Jasmine’s collages in issue # 7 of the magazine I Like My Style.

Kayla Guthrie Blue, À La Fortune Du Pot.

Blue

I heard the voice that showed but couldn’t see. I drew a line through voodoo. Who knew. Radio shuts off. You turn out the light. I know it’s the last time. Been too long in here. Mighty tired I have to say. Time to be getting back on my way. Lights up when I disappear. Lights off means I’m still here. Your blue jeans grow dark and your eyes roll white. Too late to change my mind. Raindrops like tears. Tulips bloom and petals spread. Time to be getting off up ahead. Lights up when I disappear. Lights off means I’m still here. Turn the key, make sure it’s locked tight. Rub it out and watch it fade white. I drew a line through voodoo. Who knew. I’m blue.
